I don't know if the SBPD was as rampant during your guys' tailgating days, but they had just started this BS when I was a sophomore. It doesn't surprise me either - SBPD cops know that they have authority over young college kids, and abuse it. They are a bunch of glorified traffic cops on game weekends.
Everyone make sure you have a credit card with you before picking a fight.
