It looks, visually, pretty awesome. On the other hand, it looks, as a movie, pretty lame. My fear is this turns into a preachy "No blood for oil!" metaphor movie rather than a kick-ass aliens fighting on a distant planet.
This movie has no chance. It will look awesome, but it has been hyped for a decade. It can't live up. I'll still see it in Imax 3D. Now about 2012... Could it live up to the ID4 entertainment level or will it be close to Godzilla?
