I'll miss Landon, but you've got to move on and I understand the decision. His head just wasn't in the game anymore, and, apparently, his body wasn't either. Still probably the greatest sports-watching moment of my life...

Yeah, sucks for Landon but Jurgen is showing he's the boss. I think more than anything else, Klinsmann wants players 100% committed to the USMNT and doing everything possible to make themselves better. He has been actively trying to get US players to play in Europe to get better. Landon is pretty much "slumming it" in MLS. Taking a year-plus sabbatical in Cambodia might have been the nail in the coffin.
What really worries me is that Klinsmann now has really put together a young, inexperienced team. That's great for 2016 and 2018, but it suggests he is not too jazzed about our chances to advance from our Group in Brazil this year.
While he will do everything possible to win in Brazil, I suspect he is essentially counting us out and using the World Cup to gain experience for the future stars of the USMNT. Could be a rough one for us next month!
